Spokesperson to Businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome, Reginald Dobge says his boss is not bothered about the appointment of Martin Amidu as Independent Special Prosecutor.
According to Reginald Dobge, there are laws governing the country and as professional as Mr Amidu is, he is will not go contrary to the laws of the country, adding that he believes he would discharge his responsibility diligently.
“My boss is happy about the appointment of Amidu and is not bothered at all. He is not a criminal to be scared of Amidu. Amidu is a professional lawyer and won’t take any decision without any concrete evidence” he said on Accra based Neat FM.
Mr. Reginald Dogbe was commenting on the the nomination of Mr. Amidu’s nomination and the many references that have been made to his Mr. Woyome’s issues with the Nominee.
President Akufo-Addo has in accordance with the Act that establishes the office of the SP, accepted Attorney General, Ms. Gloria Akuffo’s nomination of Mr. Amidu and will subsequently present him to Parliament for vetting.
“I have accepted the Attorney General’s nomination and will, in turn, submit his name for Parliament’s approval when it reconvenes on 23rd January, 2018 for its first meeting of this new year”, the President said when he addressed the press to announce his nomination.
Mr Dobge admonished Ghanaians to desist from pointing fingers at Mr Woyome, adding that Mr. Woyome is not afraid to appear before the courts since it is his wish to tell his story to Ghanaians and the rest of the world.
