Dozens of pupils Sefwi Samansuo D/A primary school in the Sefwi Bodi district of the Western region are forced to lie on their bellies to write in their classrooms daily, due to lack of school furniture.
When Adom TV crew visited the school, pupils from primary one through to six lack desks and chairs to aid learning.

Over 40 pupils are allocated to a room and they either sit or flop down on their bellies during lessons.

Some of the pupils, who spoke to Adom News said they are unable to concentrate during lessons and that they find it difficult to even take notes from class.
Assistant Head teacher of the school, Francis Susuawu said efforts to get authorities to rectify the situation have proved fruitless.
He indicated that the school has reached out to the Ghana Education Service and the Regional Education Directorate who have promised to come to their aid.
Some parents who spoke to Adom TV News explained that their childrens performance has been affected due to the lack of furniture in the school.
They also appealed to government to as a matter of urgency come to their aid to save their future leaders.
