Head of Ghana Association of Songwriters, Mr Emmanuel Barnes, popularly known as Mr Logic, has bemoaned how the law discriminates against smokers in the country.

According to him, he believes the law should equally tackle people who smoke cigarettes same way marijuana smokers are not given peace.

Mr Logic also said Rastafarianism is another factor why marijuana users are tagged harmful otherwise marijuana would be as legal as cigarettes are.

“There is a propaganda against people who smoke marijuana. Why don’t we criminalise cigarettes like we have banned marijuana? All is equally smoking… police react differently to normal people who smoke cigarettes than rastafarians,” he said on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Thursday, June 27, 2019.

“Marijuana isn’t bad because some religious people use it. It’s not bad but for health benefits smoking in general isn’t good because of your lungs,” he told Andy Dosty.
