The University of Education, Winneba chapter of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) on Friday elected its new executives 

The elections, held at the Winneba and Ajumako campuses concurrently, registered about 305 lecturers who turned up to cast their votes.

The total votes cast saw the incumbent President, Dr Kaakyire Frimpong Duku polling 124 votes to lose to his competitor, Mr Eric Sakyi who polled 178 votes.

Dr Mavis Amo-Mensah emerged the vice with 175 votes against the incumbent Dr Abdulai Ahmed Jinapor who had 128 votes.

Speaking to the media after the declaration of results, the President-elect, Mr Nketiah called for reconciliation among the ranks for progress and development at UTAG – UEW front.

Other executives who won were Mr Pascal Kpodo, Secretary with Dr Ebenezer Amanor-Lartey as the Treasurer.
