A former student of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Reverend Henry Godson-Afful, has made a generous contribution by providing a digital smart board to the College of Education Studies.
A former student of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Reverend Henry Godson-Afful, has made a generous contribution by providing a digital smart board to the College of Education Studies.

A past student of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Rev. Henry Godson-Afful, has donated a digital smart board to the College of Education Studies to enhance teaching and learning.

Rev. Godson-Afful, who is  a military officer, teacher and reverend minister based in the United Kingdom, said the presentation was to support the development of the College’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure.

He highlighted the significance of ICT to the training and development of up-and-coming teachers. Rev. Godson-Afful urged beneficiaries of the donation to maintain the equipment to give it a longer lifespan.

He further pledged greater support to the College and wished for an enhanced communication link with authorities of the University to know the needs of UCC and to guide past students for future assistance.

The Provost of the College of Education, Prof. Ernest Kofi Davis, who received the donation on behalf of the College, thanked Rev. Godson-Afful for the gesture and indicated that the equipment would go a long way to support the College’s e-learning drive.

He assured him that the smart board would be maintained for future generations.

Prof. Davis appealed to corporate organisations, philanthropists, especially alumni group, to support the University in its developmental agenda.
