Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the National Chapters Committee of Hearts of Oak, Paa Kofi Sunsum has revealed that the Board Chairman of the club, Togbe Afede XIV has good intentions for the club but he is
surrounded by the wrong people.
Speaking on the Asempa FM’s Ultimate Sports Show, Paa Kofi Sunsum expressed his displeasure that players of the junior team (Auroras) still sleep at the club’s secretariat when monies have been provided for them to be offered accommodation.
Explaining further, the PRO pointed out that Alhaji Akambi who works closely with Board Chairman took money to cater for that and never did.
He claimed that the apartment Alhaji Akambi got for the players was not in the best of shapes hence the players could not live there.
“It is true, some of our junior players sleep at our secretariat and it is heart breaking. Monies were given for accommodation only that Togbe Afede XIV has surrounded himself with the wrong people and they are not helping the club especially Alhaji Akambi”, Paa Kofi said.
Togbe Afede XIV took over the reins of hearts of oak after emerging as the majority shareholder when the club got listed on the stock market eight seasons ago.
