Clit piercing, an act that may have been alien to Ghana but which has now become common for obvious reasons, is a solution to lost libido in women, beauty and beauty therapist, Leonard Ahia, has revealed.
Da_therapizt, as Leonard is also known, has explained in an exclusive interview with adomonline.com that when a woman pierces her clit it makes it a more sensitive touch.
“People who don’t feel anything when touched, respond to touch when their clits get pierced,” he said in the revealing interview with our reporter Evelyn Anane.
‘’People [Ghanaians] frown on piercing because of where we find ourselves, just as when you have dreads on, people see you be a bad person.
“I have pierced and have I have locks but I don’t drink or smoke anything drug so it’s all about the education; we need to be enlightened to see the beauty industry as a profession,’’ he explained.
As explained by him further, even though piercing the nose, ears and other parts of the body are for beautification purposes, the nipple and clit, when pierced, serve as therapies that seek to solve libido problems in women.
According to him, there are instances where married men come with their wives for piercing therapy in order to increase their sexual drives.
The act of piercing
As a rule of thumb, the clit must feel erect for an effective piercing to take place so how does the Da_therapizt handle a customer whose clit may not be ready for piercing?
When the clit is not out, you would have to romance it till it comes out for you to be able to work on it but, it is easier and better when the partner of the female client is around to do the romancing, he explained.
On what it means for a male professional in his kind of business, Da_therapizt explained that sometimes it is difficult to tell what a client may be feeling for you but there are occasions when some women appear to develop feelings towards you.
‘’Ladies prefer to have guys work on them to having a fellow woman pierce them,” he said.
This, according to him, is because during therapy sessions, the kind of care a guy gives a woman is different from what a lady may give a fellow woman.
But, as a professional, you need not worry about the advances a lady client may make towards you because the chemistry between a man and a woman is natural, he said.
As someone who has been involved in beatifying women, Da_therapizt has explained that some women have their scalps and ears being the most sensitive parts of their bodies hence even an ordinary hair-washing that may lead to a touch of the scalp and ears could lead to them expressing how they feel.
Da_therapizt, who is also involved in hair-waxing, especially of the private part, says the act of waxing is more painful than piercing but added that when it comes to piercing the nipple and clit, piercing could be more painful, compared to waxing.
Which category of people solicit Da_therapizt’s services?
According to the beauty therapist, among his top clients who come for waxing of their private parts are models and some category of commercial sex workers.
“I am a professional so I cannot disclose the identity of celebrities that I have worked on,” he said amid laughter while explaining that his relationship with his clients can be compared to that of a doctor and his patient.
“You cannot reveal the medical status of your clients; it’s a highly confidential matter,’’ he added.
Leonard says he has resisted the temptation of posting or advertising his piercing business on social media because of his clientele base.
Instead, he has used his body as a ‘sign board’ for direct marketing but as explained by him also, most of his businesses have come through referrals.
Hazards of the job
‘’Naturally odour plays a role in our work, he explained.
“I’m saying this with no offense in mind to anyone but when it happens that you have a bad odour in your private part, it has the potential of turning your beautician off, he explained.
Unfortunately, Da_therapizt has had to deal with the issue of odour sometimes.
