It has emerged that murdered Tiger Eye PI investigative journalist, Ahmed Hussein-Suale was killed on his way to attend to his sick son.
President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Affail Monney disclosed this to the host of Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem show, Captain Smart on Friday following a meeting with the family of the slain journalist.
“We visited the family house of Ahmed and where we were told that he wasn’t coming from work; he was actually at his [family] home when he had a call to attend to his child and it was on his way that he was ambushed by his killers,” he explained.
Ahmed Hussein-Suale, who worked closely with ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, was shot by gunmen who were riding on a motorbike on Wednesday night while he was on his way home.
His murder comes months after his picture was brandished on TV by a Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong which sought to incite the public against the deceased.
Mr Affail Monney has, however, charged President Akufo-Addo to ensure that the perpetrators of the heinous crime are brought to book.
