Teachers and Education Workers Union (TEWU) is calling on the Ghana Education Service (GES) and the Education Ministry to release the report on the matrons who were accused of stealing food items meant for SHS students in some parts of the country.
Some matrons working in various secondary schools in the country were suspended for allegedly stealing food items from school stores and a committee was set up to look into the matter.
Listen to the National Chairman of TEWU

National Chairman of TEWU, Peter K. Lumor told Adom News Reporter, Kwame Kulenu that nothing has so far come out of the committee’s work.
He said it would be appropriate for those in charge to bring out their findings for the public to know whether the matrons are guilty of the allegations or not.
But the Public Relations Officer of GES, Cassandra Twum, says she is yet to be briefed about the Committee’s work hence, she cannot comment on the matter.
