The Ghana Institution of Surveyors (GhIS) says it is ready to help in the fight to reclaim lands destroyed by the activities of illegal mining in the country.
The group has therefore called on government to work hand-in-hand with its outfit so they can reclaim all lands damaged by galamseyers for free or at a very low cost.
The Chairman of Lands Division of GhIS, John Amaglo, told Adom News that they were willing to do it as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility.

According to him, if government works with them as professionals they would be able to demarcate the areas that have been affected for easy reclamation.
Government has been engaged in the fight against the activities of illegal miners, popularly called galamsayers whose activities have destroyed huge chunk of lands and water bodies in the country.
But the GhIS says with the willingness of government to partner them, they would be able to reclaim some of the lost land spaces.
