Gospel musician Piesie Esther embraced Ga culture in a striking way when she paid a courtesy call on the Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, at his palace in Accra.
The award-winning singer ditched her usual wig for a white headscarf and dressed in a traditional Ga-inspired outfit, complete with nyanyala leaves draped around her neck.
Her appearance was a deliberate show of respect for Ga customs and traditions as she visited the Ga Mantse ahead of the fifth edition of the Flora Made by Grace Concert.
Piesie Esther, who is preparing for the highly anticipated gospel event, used the visit to pay homage to the Ga Mantse and seek his blessings as she continues preparations for the concert.
The singer described the visit as an honour, saying she was at the palace to represent the ministry and carry a message of grace, gratitude and the greater things she believes God is doing.
“Stepping into the esteemed Ga Mantse’s Palace as we pay a courtesy call on His Royal Highness Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the Ga Mantse, ahead of the 5th Edition of the Flora Made by Grace Concert,” she shared.
Her traditional appearance quickly became one of the highlights of the visit, highlighting the cultural significance of the occasion.
The Flora Made by Grace Concert is expected to bring together gospel music lovers for an evening of worship, thanksgiving and celebration.
She urged the public to join her on the journey towards what she described as the “Greater Grace Experience.”
