The funeral mass for late Nollywood legend Olu Jacobs is underway in Lagos, drawing a gathering of family, friends and some of the biggest names in Nigeria’s film industry as the veteran actor is given his final farewell.
Held at This Present House, Freedom Way, Lekki Phase I, the ceremony has brought together several generations of Nollywood stars who have come to honour the man widely regarded as one of the pioneers of modern Nigerian cinema.
The arrival of Olu Jacobs’ remains marked one of the most emotional moments of the funeral, as his family carried his casket into the venue to begin the final rites.

His wife, veteran actress Joke Silva, was seen alongside members of the family as they accompanied the remains into the service, bringing the reality of the final goodbye into sharp focus.
Several prominent Nollywood personalities have also gathered at the funeral to pay their last respects to the celebrated actor.
