Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as ‘Abronye DC’, has invoked curses on the security agencies and the chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC) to prevent them from rigging the December polls in favour of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to the Youth Organizer, there is a saying that ‘It is too painful to be cheated when you know something is rightfully yours’.
With this, he warned the EC chair and other staff in the commission to desist from venturing into any form of act that will aid them to rig in the elections.
“As you all know, today is Wednesday and we are voting in a week’s time. As elders say, ‘it’s painful to be cheated’. Knowing you own something and someone else using dubious means to take it from you is too painful. Our ancestors used deities to operate the world but we have accepted Christ and the sins have now become too much…,” he said.
He further poured libation and cut the throat of a sheep to appease the gods.
During the activity, he called on the god of thunder, the mother earth and other renowned ancestral deities to accept his offering and make sure the election is free and fair.
He warned that anybody who tries to involve in any dubious means that will rig the election against the NPP should be ready for a thunder strike.
“I am calling on Asaaseyaa, Antoa Nyamoa, the god of thunder that in a week’s time, from madam Charlotte Osei to any staff of the EC, that the election which NPP is destined to win, anyone thinking to effect a change in favour of any political party should die of thunder strike.
“If EC chair does any wrong move, she should be struck down by thunder. I will also thank the gods with two kids coming from her womb” he declared.
Abronye further poured libation to the gods to seal his request.
