The  Dagomba Community of Tarkwa-Nsuaem have honoured the Member of Parliament (MP) of the Constituency, George Mireku Duker by enstooling him as a Chief at a durbar held at Tarkwa in the Western Region.

Hon George Mireku Duker was given the stool name “ Zosimli Naa ” for his outstanding humanitarian services in the community.
He was given the name by the Chief of the Dagomba community on Saturday, 6th May,2017.
Giving reasons behind the enstoolment, the chief stated that Honourable Mireku Duker was bestowed the title because of his selfless service to the Tarkwa- Nsuaem constituency which he said was indicative of a humble man who has the welfare of people at heart.
The Chief urged the MP to embark on programmes and policies that will benefit the constituents irrespective of their political, religious or ethnic affiliations.

Speaking at the durbar, the elated Member of Parliament who was grateful for the honour pledged to give back to the community in which he has lived and worked as a Municipal Chief Executive.

“I will help develop and implement strategic plans, strengthen institutional capacities to guide and support government relations, international relations, marketing and communications activities in my constituency to promote the well being of my people”
