Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Scheme, Gifty Oware-Aboagye has said that personnel posted to the remote areas would be given adequate attention to motivate them to deliver their very best.

According to her, it is the duty of the scheme to make sure that personnel posted to those areas are given the needed attention to enable them have peace of mind and render service to the nation.

Gifty Oware –Aboagye said this at the capacity building of the national service personnel in Ho as part of their orientation before they go to their various posting places.

She said, they are collaborating with the local government to make sure that those posted to the remotest areas for service are treated well as these people are the most important people to the scheme.

“These people are very important to the scheme and we are collaborating with the local government to make sure they are safe” she said.

According to her, it’s about service not just to the nation but service to themselves and the enhancement of the military is necessary to make them better people.

The Dep Director said the capacity building is to help on the issues of reposting and also correct some abnormalities in the system.

The Volta Regional Director of the Scheme, Winfred Hushie said they had challenges with accommodation especially in the urban areas and has called on stakeholders, chiefs in the various communities to help in any way they can in terms of accommodation and other basic amenities especially in the remote areas.

He said, for now the exercise has been smooth and a system has been put in place to monitor the process of the each personnel.

The program sponsored by the United Wealth Limited is aimed at training the personnel on wealth creation and ways to be financially sound even as a service personnel.

Managing Director of United Wealth Limited, Kobina Atta-Baido said they want to make sure that they help build the capacity of personnel to be self-sufficient.

So far, two thousand eight hundred has been registered out of three thousand six hundred service personnel.
