Director-General of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Eric Nana Agyeman-Prempeh and Member of Parliament for Klottey Korle, Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings has visited traders who were affected by the Odorna market fire outbreak Wednesday night.

They expressed their sympathy, pledged their support and assured the affected traders that they will put in measures to prevent another fire outbreak.

Mr Eric Nana Agyeman-Prempeh, however, pleaded with the market women to cooperate with the security agencies for thorough investigations.

“We need to look at the cause and sit down with the market management and executives to look at preventive measures so that these things does not occur again. We’ve given them up to Monday by then all the reports will be ready and we will meet here with the market women and executives to know the way forward.”

The market women disagree with the decision to keep off the market till Monday.

According to them, during disasters like these, robbers use the opportunity to steal their items hence they want access to the place to keep their things safe.

“Staying out of the premises is not a problem to us but we will be at peace if we know our things are safe”.
