Aspiring Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as COKA, took a break from the election activities to join members of the Matan Nasara group in frying eggs at the voting centre.

COKA, a former Afigya Sekyere South Constituency Chairman, was at the election centre on Saturday as the NPP conducted its regional executive elections across the country.

He joined some women who had set up a tent to prepare food and refreshments for delegates during the voting exercise.

His brief stint at the cooking station drew cheers from delegates and supporters and created a lighter atmosphere at the election grounds.

COKA is contesting the Ashanti Regional chairmanship against former Bantama Member of Parliament, Dr Henry Kwabena Kokofu.

The winner will lead the party’s regional structures and oversee efforts to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and rebuild the NPP ahead of the 2028 general elections.

The regional elections form part of the party’s broader internal reorganisation following its defeat in the 2024 general elections.
