Lawyer for the suspects facing trial for their role in the gruesome murder of Major Maxwell Mahama is confident of victory.
According to Lawyer George Bernard Shaw, the evidence being adduced by prosecution is not enough to implicate his clients.
The counsel who is doing the work free of charge maintained that, majority of the suspects were nowhere near where Major Maxwell Mahama was beaten to death.

Lawyer George Bernard Shaw made the comment on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Tuesday after eight of his clients were discharged.
The eight have since May 2017 been in the custody of the police after they were picked up in connection with the May 29 lynching of the soldier at Denkyira Obuasi, now New Obuasi in the Central Region.
Chief State Attorney, Evelyn Keelson who moved the motion for the discharge of the eight said the state lacked enough evidence to prosecute them.

Presiding Judge, Worlanyo Kotoku granted the request leaving 14 suspects before the court.
Last July, 13 suspects were also discharged from an initial batch of 32 suspects who were before the court.
This development has made Lawyer George Bernard Shaw to hold the firmest conviction that his clients have been humiliated and wrongly held for almost eight months for a crime they didn’t commit.

“I have seen what they have gone through…even the anxiety is like capital punishment,” he told the media after the discharge.
He however expressed worry about the threats on his life since he accepted to defend the suspected killers of Major Maxwell Mahama.
“I have been receiving death threats; some people even broke into my car after accepting this case but it did not deter me because I know I was doing the right thing,” he stressed.
Lawyer George Bernard Shaw stated “if the evidence is clear, even if God is your lawyer, you can’t win”.
“My clients are innocent until proven guilty so stop threatening me; evidence is the name of the game”, he added.
