Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Upper Denkyira West, Ben Aryeh has described the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as a party which is demonstrating signs of incompetence even in opposition.
According to the former Legislator, the NDC since going into opposition has failed to raise any ‘meaningful issue’ for public discussion.
To him, the party and its major actors has instead been making Ghanaians go on wild goose chase over non-issues.

“In government, you couldn’t perform, now you’ve been sent to opposition and you are still demonstrating incompetence. Ghana cannot afford to have you guys being lazy, you need to be critical thinkers instead of jumping from one issue to the other without making solid arguments…,” he said on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Programme on Tuesday.
Ben Aryeh made this point while commenting on claims by the minority Members of Parliament (MPs) that the Majority has doctored the report of the Committee set up by the August House to probe the Cash for seat saga.
The Minority boycotted the discussion of the report presented by the committee arguing that they ought to have been given two days to read through the report before discussion begin on it.

The MPs led by Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrissu insisted that the mandatory two days is part of the rules of the house.
And this claim of the minority leader, has been backed by several NDC MPs and Communicators who insist the rush to discuss the report which cleared the Trade Ministry of any wrong doing.
Reacting to the claims of the NDC MPs, Ben Aryeh said he is the least surprised by the ‘jack where are you’ tactics being employed by the Minority.
To him, this has been the style of the NDC since going into opposition arguing further that the NDC has become ‘masters of the hide and seek’ game.

“Unfortunately, the media is also buying into their agenda…the NDC is not bringing out any ideas which can help move the nation forward…,” he said further.
He thus urged the party to come along with ‘critical thinkers’ who can dissect national issues as to him, critical minds are needed to develop the country.
“A lot of critical thinking did not go into the NDC’s decision to recall Parliament, if they had, they wouldn’t have embarked on this path and waste the nation’s time, we need critical thinkers, they must know, the time for street politics is over,” he said.
