Management member of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Lawyer Yaw Boafo, says Kotoko will replicate their wonderful performance in the MTN FA Cup final against CARA come Sunday at the Babayara Sports Stadium.
Asante Kotoko beat Hearts of Oak 3-1 last October at the Tamale Sports Stadium to be crowned FA Cup Champions and will open their Africa Confederations Cup campaign this Sunday against CARA Brazzaville of Congo.
And this, Lawyer Boafo remains positive, will help Asante Kotoko to carry the day with ease given the kind of preparations the club’s management has subjected the team to.
“We as Management have done all that needs to be done to ensure victory on Sunday and we also know the team will pull another surprise like we did in Tamale last season against Hearts of Oak”, Lawyer Boafo said.
“I am sure of three or four goals from the team because most of our players have the African exposure. Captain Amos Frimpong, Seth Opare and Kwame Boahene are a few who have played in African competitions before joining us”.
Lawyer Boafo hinted that there was a special orientation session for the entire team yesterday to calm down nerves and put them in a right frame of mind while adding that there is the possibility of special bonuses for the game.
