Ghana defender Nathaniel Adjei played the full 90 minutes as FC Lorient surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Toulouse in Ligue 1 on Saturday.
Lorient looked on course for all three points at the Stade du Moustoir after a quickfire double before half-time.
Ibrahima Baldé opened the scoring in the 37th minute before Noah Mbamba struck two minutes later to hand the hosts a commanding 2-0 advantage at the break.
Toulouse mounted an impressive second-half comeback, with Casper Tengstedt pulling one back just three minutes after the restart before Thomas Jørgensen levelled in the 68th minute to earn the visitors a share of the points.
Despite the disappointing result, Adjei produced another assured display at the heart of Lorient’s defence and received a 7.0 rating after completing the entire match.
The draw leaves Lorient eighth in the Ligue 1 standings with five points from four matches.
The 23-year-old will now turn his attention to next weekend’s away trip to Le Mans FC at the Stade Marie-Marvingt, where he will hope to retain his place in the starting line-up.
Adjei is also expected to be included in Ghana’s Black Stars squad for the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Côte d’Ivoire and Gambia later this month.
