The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) has, in a statement, issued a death alert to motorists who ply the Sokode-Akforu –Bame road in the Volta Region because the bridge on that stretch of road is weak and deadly.
According to the Municipal Director of NADMO, Stephen K. Adigon, who signed the notice, it is safer to use the Anyirase to Bame road “due to the weak nature of the bridge on that stretch of the road [Sokode-Akforu –Bame] which is about to collapse any moment.”
