The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) has extended support to the family of Angel Mensah-Kwafo, the 13-year-old girl who died following a building collapse at Accra Newtown Experimental School.

A delegation led by NADMO’s Deputy Director-General in charge of Technical Services, Rufai Ahmed Aggudey, visited the bereaved family over the weekend to commiserate with them.

The team also included the Ayawaso Central Municipal Chief Executive, William Rudolf Cullinwood, and the Municipal Coordinating Director, Ishmael Osagyefo.

On behalf of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) and the Ayawaso Central Municipal Disaster Management Committee, the delegation presented a cash donation and assorted food items to support the funeral arrangements of the deceased.

The family expressed gratitude for the gesture, describing it as a source of comfort during their period of grief.

Angel Mensah-Kwafo lost her life on Sunday, March 29, 2026, when a structure collapsed at the school, sparking public concern over safety conditions in educational facilities.

NADMO officials indicated that similar support will be extended to other families affected by the incident as part of efforts to provide relief and solidarity to victims.
