Mobile Money has become the easiest way for people to access money anytime any day and has also become a source of livelihood for thousands of young people across the country.
One of such persons is 29-years-old Tahidu Abdul Wahid who is putting up a 4-bedroom house in Kpatinga at Gushegu in the Northern Region.

What is even more interesting is that Tahidu is also taking care of 14 dependants, all with income from his Mobile Money business.
He told Adom News reporter Kwame Kulenu that he used to do mobile phone credit transfer but thieves broke into his shop and took everything. His capital then reduced but he never lost hope.
“I decided to go into mobile money transaction but I did not have any capital to start with till 2015 when World Vision came to the community with Saving for Transformation, which enabled me and others in the community to have susu box where they saved and acquired loans with low interest.”

Tahidu said he got an initial loan of GhC1,000 from the World Vision initiative and began his mobile money business, adding that he continued saving until he was able to access GHC5,000 loan and invested in the mobile money business.
“With that investment, I started making an average of GhC100 profit per week and now I am able to take care of my two wives, two children and 10 other dependants from my family and my two wives’ families on regular basis,” he said.
He was so happy World Vision came to his rescue with their Saving for Transformation (S4T) program.
In a related development, a woman called Nasam Hazi Naafisah who is also in her early 40s who had benefited from the S4T program and operating a small provision store, said initially her capital was GHC700 but through the S4T program, she now has a capital of GHC2,100.

Nafisah is also putting up a three-bedroom compound house and also takes care of about 10 people who depend on her.
She is also in the process of expanding her business.
Adom News Reporter Kwame Kulenu has been touring the Gushegu Municipality with World Vision for inspection of their food security projects there and reports that people are really benefiting from the projects.
