Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has described as very insensitive government’s decision not to pay compensation to victims of gold dealership firm, Menzgold.

According to him, “the government cannot leave customers in the cold when the state created a condition for Menzgold to receive endorsement and credibility”

Government has stated unequivocally that, it will not use taxpayers’ money to pay victims of Menzgold who have lost investments.

In spite of demonstrations and pleas by customers for government to intervene, it has remained resolute on its position.

He said as representatives of the people, it cannot betray their constituents in such a crude manner.

“The DKM principle must apply in Menzgold saga because what is good for the goose is good for the gander. Menzgold customers deserve compensation from government” he added.
