Access to quality healthcare in the Kpandai District has received a major boost following the donation of hospital and delivery beds by the Member of Parliament for the Kpandai Constituency, Matthew Nyindam, to health facilities and CHPS compounds across the district.
The donation, which includes 10 delivery beds and 60 hospital beds, is aimed at improving healthcare delivery and addressing the growing challenges faced by many health facilities in the district, particularly the shortage of beds for patients and expectant mothers.

Speaking during the presentation ceremony, Matthew Nyindam said many health facilities and CHPS compounds in the district continue to struggle with inadequate equipment, especially hospital and delivery beds, making it difficult for health workers to provide quality healthcare services.
“A lot of health facilities are facing many challenges, and one of them is the shortage of beds and delivery beds. I therefore put it upon myself to buy 10 delivery beds and 60 hospital beds for the 26 CHPS compounds across the district,” he stated.
He further advised the beneficiaries to maintain the items properly to ensure their long-term use and benefit to the people of the district.
“I am appealing to the health facilities and CHPS compounds to take very good care of the beds so they will last longer and continue to serve the people,” Mr. Nyindam added.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Kpandai District Health Directorate, the District Director of Health Services, Madam Maria Ayichuru, expressed profound gratitude to Hon. Matthew Nyindam for the generous gesture.

Madam Ayichuru noted that the donation would greatly improve healthcare delivery in the district and help reduce some of the difficulties health workers face in caring for patients.
She assured the donor that the items would be properly maintained and used for the intended purpose to benefit communities across the district.
