Founding member and President of Patriotic Youth Movement, a volunteer group under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Youth Wing, Maame Yaa Aboagye has been appointed deputy director of communications.

This follows a joint National Council and National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held Wednesday, September 19, 2018 by the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to appoint persons to head the various directorates of the party as well as deputy national officers.

Profile

Maame Yaw Aboagye holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Psychology from the University of Bedfordshire in the United Kingdom. She also attended Irwin College, UK and Achimota School.

Yaa is a polling station Organizer in Ayawaso West Wagon. She is a founding member and president of Patriotic Youth Movement, a volunteer group under the NPP Youth Wing which played a key role in the campaign leading up to the 2016 parliamentary and presidential elections.

She was also part of the NPP National Collation Team for the 2016 elections.

Her skills in event coordination, conflict resolution, fundraising and resource mobilization make her a great team member. Indeed, she is a committed team player who dedicates time, energy and resources towards the achievement of set goals.

Outside politics, she is an entrepreneur with a keen interest in after school programmes for children. This led her to establish Toffee Kids Arcade in 2011.

She is a Presbyterian who worships at the Victory Congregation, Fafraha. She has two beautiful daughters.

Her hobbies are cooking, ceramic art and travelling.
