National Communication Officer of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi

One of former President John Dramani Mahama’s alternative is to throw out President Nana Akufo-Addo’s daughter from her duty free shop at Terminal 3 of the Kotoko International Airport, National Communication Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC], Sammy Gyamfi has said.

His comment was in response to a question posed to him by Philip Osei Bonsu, host of Asempa FM’s political discussion programme, Ekosii Sen about the NDC’s alternative ahead of the 2020 general election.

The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been breathing on the neck of Mr Mahama for policy alternatives as he campaigns to be voted for.

A year to elections, the party is seeking ideas to compile its manifesto after it put out a memorandum for public inputs.

This single act, the NPP argues confirms its position that indeed NDC has nothing to offer Ghanaians.

In an apparent response, Mr Gyamfi said among the first alternative of President Mahama should he be voted is to ensure all those who benefited from the friends and family government of President Akufo-Addo lose their contracts.

He said Mr Mahama will terminate all the contracts President Akufo-Addo has given to family and friends at BOST and other State institutions they are using to milk the State.

Mr Gyamfi is certain if Mr Mahama is able to stop the nepotism in government, Ghanaians will be appreciative.

“Stopping the nepotism and the ongoing corruption alone is an important alternative Ghanaians are interested in,” he stressed.
