Newly elected Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is rallying support for a united party ahead of the 2020 general elections.

Mr Chaie said the NDC cannot recapture power if divided thus both winners and losers must unite for victory.

The former Member of Parliament for Ablekuma Central secured a landslide victory in the NDC regional elections held on September 1.

With 561 votes, he beat his contenders to become the newly elected Regional Secretary of the party.

The others, Victor Quarshie, Nii Ayee and Lois Korkor Tetteh 305, 82, and 56 votes respectively.

Speaking a day after his victory on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Monday, Mr Chaie said he was coming into the position with probity, transparency, accountability and fairness.

He said he was poised for victory and will work to make the NDC attractive in the Greater Accra region.

“I don’t have all the knowledge or skill but I’m going to work with the team that has been elected especially with my chairman because he is the overall leader of the region. We’ll also work with our past regional executives to ensure that whoever is elected as flagbearer of the NDC, God willing, in 2020, we’ll win the region for the party”, the former MP stated.

Tetteh Chaie said his passion for the party coupled with his experience as a former MP will serve as a guide in his current position.
