Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kwesi Nyantakyi has described former Black Stars coach, Kwesi Appiah as a matured coach.

According to the respected football administrator, the former Al Khartoum SC manager has acquired more experience after the shambolic display in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

After the exit of Avram Grant as the head coach of the Black Stars, the GFA set up a six member committee to search for a replacement.

Over 100 coaches applied for the Stars job but the committee reduced the number to three which include Kwesi Appiah, Willy Sagnol and Hugo Broos.

Appiah have been heavily tipped to be reappointed as the new Black Stars coach after going through a successful interview last Friday.

With the FA yet to name the head coach of the team, Nyantakyi believes Kwesi Appiah is a matured coach now.

“In all Kwesi Appiah is now a better person though he has made mistakes in the past but has gained more experience and better person than previously”, he Accra based Starr FM.
