Prudential Bank Limited has reasserted its commitment to community development and inclusivity with a donation to the Masjid-ul Oudwah (Tamale Central Mosque) in support of the Islamic community.
The gesture forms part of the bank’s ongoing corporate social responsibility initiatives and its recognition of the diverse communities it serves across Ghana.
The donation comes at a significant time as the Muslim community prepares for the celebration of Eid-ul-Adha, one of the most important festivals in the Islamic calendar.
Speaking at a brief ceremony, the Branch Manager of Prudential Bank Limited Tamale Branch, Sumaila Mahama, said the donation is not a one-off event but part of the bank’s consistent approach to community engagement in the Northern Region.
He noted that the bank has a long history of supporting local initiatives and responding to the needs of the people it serves.

“This is what we do for our communities. We live here, we work here, and we share in the joys and responsibilities of our neighbours. Supporting the mosque as well as preparations ahead of Eid-ul-Adha is simply an extension of our everyday commitment to being a dependable partner,” Mr. Mahama said.
Receiving the donation, Imam of the Mosque, Alhaji Mutala Yahaya, noted that the bank’s gesture reinforces the spirit of togetherness that Eid-ul-Adha symbolises. He urged other corporate bodies to emulate Prudential Bank Limited in supporting religious communities in practical and respectful ways.
