Controversial musician and political activist, Kwame A Plus says he is neither a politician nor an ordinary musician.

According to him, he cannot tell the difference between “who is a politician and who is not.”

The musician has been active in politics for more than two decades and has publicly thrown his support behind the New Patriotic Party (NPP), campaigning for them in many elections.

Speaking in an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM Thursday, A-Plus said, “I can’t tell the difference between a politician and who is not. I think what I do is to be part of the process of building this country. I’m a citizen. It’s to be part of having a say for what my tax money is used for.

I am a citizen of this country and I can go back to music but I want to use every minute I have to be part of the process that changes this country for the better…” he explained.

According to A Plus, he has always wanted to have a voice in Ghana to address issues causing a stall in the development of the country hence Ghanaians should understand his utterances since they form part of building the nation.

“All the time, my interest wasn’t to just do music. I wanted to address issues and I was looking for a voice and avenue. In my songs, I wanted to address happenings in the country,” A Plus told Andy Dosty.
