Asante Kotoko players and officials were victims of robbery, after their team bus got involved in a fatal accident at Nkawkaw.

The players and the technical team members had belongings such as laptops, mobile phones and undisclosed amount of money stolen by people who came in to rescue and sympathise with the team when the accident happened at Nantia near Nkawkaw.
Nkawkaw based Agoo FM Reporter, Yaw Obrimpong Yeboah who was an eyewitness confirmed the theft to Accra-based Kasapa FM.
Asante Kotoko were returning from Accra following a defeat against Inter Allies on match Day 22 of the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday, but unfortunately their bus ran into a stationary truck.
The accident claimed the life of the deputy Equipment Officer of the club, Kofi Asare and several others sustained various degree of injuries.
