The National Road Safety Ambassador, Gabby Adu Gyamfi has appealed to persons who have suffered some form of deformity from road crashes to stop going round begging for alms as according to him, they can always use their God-given talents to make a living.
“I am appealing to all persons who have suffered one form of deformity or the other as a result of road accident to stop begging for alms…they also have talents which they can use to make a living…they should think outside the box…,” he appealed.
Using his new position as a test case, Mr Adu Gyamfi who is on a campaign to minimize carnages on the country’s roads said he suffered some form of deformity from a major crash but has never allowed the deformity to deter him from campaigning to stop carnages on the country’s roads.
During one of his numerous rounds across the country, Gabby Adu Gyamfi narrated how he was miraculously selected to champion this cause.
He narrated how he was involved in an accident in which twenty three (23) died on the spot.
According to him, he was part of the 23 who were taken to mortuary and injected with formalin for preservation.
His mortuary number was C32.
However, as fate would have it, he was once again chosen to be part of the living. And today, he has taken it upon himself to go round and educate Ghanaians on road safety.
He thus called on all Ghanaians to take the campaign for road safety a serious one and obey all traffic rules.
