Executive Chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Dr Kwame Kyei, has rewarded each player GH¢ 2,000.00 following their win over Hearts of Oak on Sunday.
Hearts of Oak were tamed at the Accra Sports Stadium, losing 2:1 to their rivals in the match-day six fixtures.
Speaking to the players after the win, the business guru outlined new juicy bonus packages for the team.
”Yesterday, I promised you that I would do something special. Your winning bonus was 400 but I have reviewed it to 2,000,” Dr Kyei disclosed at the team’s hotel.
”Also, your winning bonus for away and home matches was GH¢ 400 and GH¢ 300 respectively but from today, it’s GH¢ 500.”
Midfield dynamo, Justice Blay broke the deadlock in the 11th minute of the game for the Porcupine Warriors.
However, in the second half, Hearts of Oak fought back with Joseph Esso getting the equaliser for his side in the 67th minute.
In the 89th minute of the game, striker, Naby Keita stepped up to convert a penalty to seal the win for Maxell Konadu’s side.
Kotoko have moved to the 4th position with 12 points after the crucial win.
