The two, belonging to the MTTD unit of the police service, were shot dead by unknown assailants

About seven people linked to the killing of two policemen at Gomoa Budumburam last Wednesday are likely to appear in court today.

Director-General of Public Affairs Directorate of the Ghana Police Service, ACP David Eklu revealed this on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem programme, Monday.

The prime suspect, Eric Kojo Duah, was apprehended Saturday, August 30, 2019 as he tried to flee to the Volta region.

The 33-year-old man, according to ACP Eklu, is in lawful custody pending the determination of the court.

He was, however, worried about the inaccurate information being circulated, especially on social media.

The Director-General of Public Affairs revealed that, the Inspector General of Police, James Oppong-Boanuh has directed the police intelligence unit to investigate all the allegations.

ACP Eklu said, given the sensitivity of the case, it is imperative for the media to be circumspect in their reportage.
