The two, belonging to the MTTD unit of the police service, were shot dead by unknown assailants

The 13-year-old girl, who witnessed the shooting of the two policemen at Kasoa Budumburam on Wednesday, has revealed how the gruesome killing of the policemen has left her and her siblings traumatised.

Speaking exclusively in an interview with Adom News, the girl and her two other siblings, said they have had sleepless nights since the day of the incident because the scene replays in their minds when they close their eyes to sleep.

“My heart beats anytime I remember how the policeman rushed into the shop with the gunshot wound in his head,” she recounted.

The girls’ mother, Madam Yaa Becky, who confirmed the revelation by her children, added that the children are now leaving in fear.

She appealed to the government and the police service to provide them with a psychologist to help them deal with the trauma.

“They are three children and what they are going through now is bothering me. They have refused to run errands out of fear; they cannot bath alone and have completely lost appetite. I will appeal to Inspector General of Police and President Nana Akufo-Addo to get the children a Psychologist to help them deal with the trauma,” she said.

The three children were the main witnesses of the gruesome killing of two personnel of the Motor, Traffic and Transport Department of the Ghana Police Service, Lance Corporal Mohammed Awal and Sergeant Michael Dwamesi at Kasoa Buduburam on Wednesday.
