Just in: NDC Council of Elders force controversial filing fees down to Ghc 300,000

The council of Elders of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), after a marathon meeting today, have reduced the controversial filing fee for the party’s flagbearer hopefuls to Ghc300,00 from the initial Ghc400,000.

The date for the sale of the nomination forms has also been extended to Saturday, December 8, 2018.

The Council of Elders, at the meeting, has also postponed the date for the election for the party’s presidential candidate to 26^th January 2019.

The council, however, refused to reduce the Ghc20,000 fees for the nomination forms.
