Actor and politician John Dumelo has disclosed one key goal he hopes to accomplish in the year, 2020.
The actor has been very active on social media ever since he declared his intention to engage in partisan politics.
Speaking in an interview with JoyNews’s Becky, Mr Dumelo said though 2019 has been an exceptional year for him due to his victory in the NDC primaries, he’s hopeful to become the Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency in 2020.

“2020 is about a lot of hard work and smart work. You can work hard without being smart. I am hoping that I will win the seat and for the first time since 1992, we [NDC] will be able to get the seat of Ayawaso West Wuogon,” he said.
On whether politics will cripple his movie career, he answered in the negative.
“This year, I have done a couple of films. Even last week, I finished one. I still have time for acting. Producers are my friends so they call me and ask me to make time for movies,” John clarified.
