Actor and politician John Dumelo has been elected as the parliamentary candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency during the National Democratic Congress’ parliamentary primary held on Saturday.
Mr Dumelo polled 758 votes with his contender, Suzzy Efua Adoboe polling 99 votes in the election.
Prior to the elections, Mr Dumelo said his main aim is to take the seat back from the New Patriotic Party so he could be “part of the decision-making process.”
