General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu has slammed former President John Mahama for complaining about the economy.

Mr Boadu said the NDC under Mahama collapsed the economy by using state resources to pay off judgment debts as such, the former president has no right to make any comparisons.

“There is no way you can compare NPP to NDC. NDC collapsed the economy and messed it up. They only used the country’s resources to pay off judgement debts which didn’t augur well for the country,” he said.

The former President, who has set the next four days to tour parts of the country to start his campaign to lead the NDC, going into the 2020 elections, has been commenting on the poor state of the economy under the NPP.

Mr Mahama has said philosophically that alcohol weighs less in volume than water, indicating that it is when one carries the two that the difference in weight can be ascertained.

But speaking on Asempa FM’s EKosii Sen Wednesday, the NPP scribe indicated that Mr Mahama does not deserve a second chance because he is not capable of managing the economy.

He said the NPP is focused on delivering on its mandate, adding that a Mahama comeback will not affect the NPP’s chances of winning the upcoming election.

John Boadu thereby urged all well-meaning citizens to massively vote for Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP to build on the foundation laid by the erstwhile Kufuor-led NPP administration.
