Evangelist Papa Shee has urged Ghanaians to refrain from calling their pastors ‘spiritual fathers’. According to him, the Bible is against it.
Quoting Matthew chapter 23: 9 as a reference point:“…And do not call anyone on earth your father, for you have one Father, who is in heaven,” Papa Shee likened it to blasphemy.

According to him, most Ghanaians lack knowledge to address such an issue, hence tend to worship their pastors instead of God.

“I won’t call any man on this earth a ‘spiritual father’. Ghanaians lack knowledge and are blind. Go and read the Bible. Ghanaians are blind. There is only one father. These people are fooling Ghanaians.
“A lot of people have been initiated into the occult but they don’t know. Lack of knowledge people perish. Do they read the Bible and are they following Jesus Christ?” Papa Shee queried on Hitz FM‘s U Say Wetin segment on Cruise Control.
