Iggy Azalea

Hip-hop star Iggy Azalea has left social media after her topless photos appeared online over the weekend without her permission.

The Australian chart-topper deactivated her Instagram and Twitter accounts following the release of the photos, which were outtakes from a 2016 GQ magazine cover shoot that were reportedly never intended to see the light of day.

Azalea explained her frustration in a since-deleted statement on Instagram.

“There was no reason for anyone to have kept the outtakes from the shoot,” she wrote. “I’m surprised and angry that they were not immediately deleted after the final images were selected.”

“Today, I’m a ball of negative emotions. I feel blindsided, embarrassed, violated, angry, sad, and a million other things,” the Def Jam Records act continued. “Not solely because I did not consent to this – but also because of the vile way people have reacted.”

Azalea — born Amethyst Kelly – said she plans to take legal action against those involved with the release of the sexy images.

“I fully intended on finding out where the leak originated from and pressing criminal charges in regards to this,” she said. “It’s important to me that someone actually be held accountable for their actions & the way it impacts my life.”

Nino Munoz, the photographer who handled the assignment, has taken to social media to say that the images were stolen and said an investigation to find the culprit is underway.
