Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe popularly known as Abronye DC, says the leaked audio about Lawyer Obiri Boahen, that has gone viral, has been ‘doctored’.

Mr Obiri Boahen is heard on the said tape alleging that the presidency donated GHS50 billion towards the party’s 2017 National Annual Delegates Conference held in Cape Coast in the Central Region, a claim the party has denied.

Mr. Boahen is also heard complaining bitterly about some happenings in the NPP, saying he has been sidelined in the sharing of the national cake, an allegation he has since apologised for.
The Steering Committee of the party is set to investigate the NPP Deputy General Secretary about his claims.
Commenting on the issue, however, Abronye DC said the alleged tape has been doctored, mischievously re-arranged and pieced together, using modern technology to create a false impression.

According to him, the amount of money quoted in the tape is too outrageous and therefore believes the move is a deliberate attempt to destroy Lawyer Obiri Boahen’s reputation.
“How can you even quote such a huge amount of money? That is why it’s impossible for Obiri Boahen to make such comments and that is why I strongly believe that the tape was doctored? When my uncle is invited by the committee, I know he will say exactly what he knows.

“He should also make it clear to the Committee because I think that tape is just a ploy to tarnish his image”, he said on Accra-based radio, Neat FM.
