“Why do the police hierarchy still keep some police officers who don’t fit [sic] to be there when they’re inexperienced? In fact, COP Kofi Boakye, COP Tetteh Yohunu, these are dreaded Policemen that armed robbers fear a lot”, he noted.
He continued that “These people must be brought on board because they’ll pursue armed robbers and arrest them because they have people on the ground working with them and trust me, they are really equipped and have a lot of information”.
The ex-convict’s appeal follows a series of robbery attacks in Accra and other parts of the country.

“Armed robbers fear Kofi Boakye, especially our Nigerian brothers who are into armed robbery here, I can tell you for a fact that whenever they hear his name they become frightened. See, it’s about the person ooo, not the position you’re heading. When the Nigerians hear that Kofi Boakye has returned to the streets, they’ll send back information to their country cautioning their fellow robbers not to come down to Ghana because he’s back in charge. They really fear that man.”
Meanwhile, the IGP on Thursday announced 11 major changes in the police hierarchy except that COP Kofi Boakye was conspicuously missing on the list.
