For more than two hours Tuesday, maverick and popular assemblyman aspirant for the Adukrom Nima Electoral Area in the Ashanti region was number 1 on Ghana trends on twitter.
Popularly known as ‘Hon. Aponkye’, the aspirant, who lost miserably with a paltry 9%, was all over social and conventional media, partly because he began jubilating even before provisional figures from the Electoral Commissioned (EC) tricked in.
However, the results from the EC confirmed that he came last with 9%. He says he is heading straight to the Supreme Court to challenge the results.
