Ghanaian sound engineer, musician and songwriter, Appiah Dankwah, popularly known as Appietus, says Ghanaians will not be surprised if the missing Takoradi girls are found dead looking at the lack of commitment on the part of the police to get to the root of the matter to rescue the girls.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s entertainment show, Tete-a-Tete, he reiterated his position by emphasising the need to take issues such as these serious and not as propaganda tools.

“It is sad how we politicise everything in this country. We should approach delicate issues such as these with all seriousness,” he stated.

Mr Dankwah also noted that there was no hope for nationals abroad who would find themselves in the same dilemma as the Takoradi girls.

He asked: “If the police are not able to guarantee the rescue of citizens in the home country, then what hope is there really for those abroad?”

On why the numerous prophets in the country have not been able to assist with the whereabouts of the missing girls, popular Ghanaian evangelist, Papa Shee, on the same show said “not all the prophets in the country were truly called by God and, thus, cannot give any spiritual insight on the matter.”
