Two people are reportedly in a critical condition after they were attacked by some land guards in Awutu Doudu in the Awutu Senya West Constituency of the Central Region.
The incident according to Adom News’ Kofi Adjei occurred around 8pm Friday night.
Currently, two victims are said to be in coma at the Winneba Trauma hospital after land guards butchered them.
Narrating the incident to Adom News, Chief of Awutu Doudu, Nai Kweku Adawu said for some months now, residents have been complaining about the activities of some land guards in the area.
He said the land guards led by one Osebour have been terrorizing residents over a land dispute by claiming ownership of some parcels of lands belonging to residents.
“These land guards for sometime have been terrorizing residents and we have complained for years now but the police never paid attention to us till last night’s incident.
“The lands here are for us and not for them but they claim they are owners and as a result stormed our town to butcher our people” he said.
Nai Kweku Adawu indicated that there is an uneasy calm among the residents who are living in fear as they cannot tell what would happen next.
No arrest he said have so far been made.
