A 31 year-old Simpson Mensah who is engaged in homosexuality has been arrested by the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) at Teshie Nungua for having anal sex with a 15 yr-old boy.
The victim is a Junior High School 2 student of 48 engineering Burma camp Accra.
Narrating the incident to Adom News, the Deputy Director of transport, ASP Peter Okyere said his outfit had information at around 12:00 PM Friday 17th February, 2017 that the suspect, Simpson Mensah who has been having anal sex with the victim for the past 3 years has called the victim to prepare for sex and that he was coming from Bawjiase in the Central Region for the act.
He said based on this, the police took custody of the victim’s phone and started communicating with the suspect and when the police became satisfied that the victim was on his way planted men in the victims mother’s room where it was agreed that the action will take place.
The suspect popped up, went into the victim mothers room, naked himself and about to commence the act but unfortunately was arrested by the police.
ASP Peter Okyere indicated that when he (Simpson) was questioned he admitted the offence and stated he is a gay and has been sleeping with other men with the boy at Agona Swedru.
According to the Police, this was not the first time the suspect has had that kind of arrangement with the victim.
They say their initial investigation revealed Mr Mensah has been sodomising the victim for the past three years.
He has since been handed over to the Domestic Violence & Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU), in Teshie Nungua for investigation.
