A 50-year-old father of eight has killed himself after his estrange wife denied him sex.
The deceased, Samuel Ayensu allegedly shot himself during a scuffle with his wife after he had accused her of infidelity.
The infortune incident occurred at Ahanta Abura in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region.
Narrating her ordeal to Adom News, wife of the deceased, Ama Nkrumah said denied her jealous husband sex after he accused her of sleeping with his business partner- an allegation she vehemently denied.
Due to that, she said the deceased started assaulting her and threatening to kill her whenever they quarrel. The distraught woman then decided to end the marriage.
However, the deceased vowed not to grant her any divorce but instead kill her and himself in a suicide pact.
“On the faithful day, he [Samuel] called me into the room wanting to have sex with me; when I refused he showed me acid threatening to pour it on my face it I don’t allow him to sleep with me” she narrated.
Ama Nkrumah said she managed to push him aside and run out of the room and called for help. Residents around came to her rescue but she was so exhausted to tell her story.
The residents did not bother checking on the man but rather rushed to woman to the hospital only to realize the man had shot himself.
